Delete your data
This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the German version (Daten löschen) prevails.
This page explains which data is created when you use Kartenscan and how you can delete it. The Kartenscan app is developed by MARCODES GmbH.
Is there an account?
No. Kartenscan currently does not require a user account, so there is no account to delete. If we introduce accounts later, you will be able to delete your account directly in the app and via this page.
Data on your device
App settings are stored on your device only. To delete them:
- Open the Android settings, then "Apps" and "Kartenscan".
- Choose "Storage" and tap "Clear data".
Alternatively, uninstall the app. This removes all local data.
Data on our server
- Card photos: images you scan for identification are not stored after identification. There is nothing to delete.
- Server log files with IP address and time are deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Emails and beta waitlist: if you wrote to us or joined the beta waitlist, we delete your email address and messages on request, except for data we have to keep for legal reasons.
Request deletion
Write to us at contact@kartenscan.com from the email address concerned. We usually delete the data within a few days, at the latest within one month, and confirm the deletion.
